Glamping holidays with a difference
We provide high quality environmentally friendly camping holidays in comfortable fully furnished canvas yurts on the beautiful Isle of Wight.
All six of our beautiful Yurts are fully equipped and furnished with everything that you will need for your holiday, cooking utensils, pans, china, proper cutlery and real mugs and wine glasses - even a cafétiere for proper coffee! No setting up tents and blowing up airbeds before you can start your yurt holiday and relax.
The Yurts have wooden floors, a wood burning stove and proper beds and futons. You need to bring bed linen and towels unless you wish us to provide these at a small additional charge. You may wish to bring a torch or an additional blanket if staying at the beginning or end of the season. Otherwise you just need to bring your food, drink, etc as with any self catering accomodation.
Whilst each yurt has its own outdoor cooking and seating area we also have our “Dome”, a large undercover tented area providing weather-proof cooking, eating and seating facilities and a communal area for guests to mingle, which is a very popular facility.
We are proud to have won both the Green Business Award and the Accommodation and Hospitality Award in the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for Excellence in 2009.
Our yurt holidays are ethical and sustainable holidays, because we make everything as environmentally friendly as possible without compromising on comfort. You will still have the 'open air' feel of being under canvas but with many of the comforts you would have in a caravan or small holiday cottage.
To help you with responsible travel we can arrange free transport from and to the Isle of Wight ferry terminal in Yarmouth and discounted cycle hire or bus rover tickets during your stay so that you can leave the car at home. There are miles of glorious footpaths in the immediate vicinity for walking holidays and cycling holidays can also be arranged for individuals, families and groups.
We provide duvets, pillows and quilts/blankets and all the equipment you need for your eco holiday. Bed linen and towels are available as extras so that you may begin to relax as soon as you arrive.
Our new site is located on farmland at Kings Manor Farm, Freshwater, and has extensive beautiful views of downland and the River Yar. It is a very tranquil setting accessed from a private drive far from the main road yet is very accessible. It is situated on the Freshwater Way, a public footpath linking Freshwater and Yarmouth, and is close to main bus routes. The excellent Kings Manor Farm Shop and Bistro and the award winning Red Lion pub are within a short walk along the footpath.
If you want to come for the Isle of Wight Festival or an event such as Cowes Week, the Isle of Wight Walking Festival or Bestival, or just to escape and enjoy our unique green yurt holidays, we can tailor a package to suit your needs.

YURTS ROCK-It's official! Mick Jagger tweeted on 28th March "Can't wait to play Glastonbury. I have my wellies and my yurt!"
Why not emulate Mick and stay in a yurt for the IoW Festival (13-16th June) or Bestival (5-8th September) this year. We are only 20 minutes from both sites and can arrange transport. Alternatively come to us for a post Festival chill out and detox in rural peace.
